TED NUGENT, ZZ TOP To Jam At Presidential Inaugural Ball
December 15, 2004According to Launch Radio Networks, Ted Nugent is coming to town in January for the presidential inauguration. The Motor City Madman, now a resident of Crawford, Texas — where re-elected President George W. Bush also has a ranch — will perform along with ZZ TOP at the Texas State Society Black Tie & Boots Ball on January 20. Nugent told Launch he was invited to play personally by Texas Governor Rick Perry and is looking forward to a big night. "Well, it's gonna be mayhem," he said. "I'm gonna play 'The Star-Spangled Banner', and get up there and play with the ZZ boys and maybe play some old, you know, 'Route 66' and 'Johnny B. Goode' and 'Brown Sugar', and maybe even play with them on 'Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers'."
Nugent kicks off a five-date Whiplash Bash tour on December 26 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He'll be touring with country star Toby Keith in the first three months of 2005.
